Let's take this a step further. Desota or Ponce De Leon brought the first hogs here & turned them loose for food. Somebody help me out but I think it was in the 1500's.Not sure either which one of those it was. So that is 500 years of hogs breeding in the wild.
Now for sure, Fla.'s feral hogs have the long snout & a lot of hair in the winter, but they in no way have the hair a true Eurasian hog has & that could be the climate also.
Also, we do not know what their hogs looked like back then either.
