Shoot...think I'd be bleaching, burning, and freezing, whatever it takes....everything around to get rid of that stuff.
Have your pups as far away from kennels as possible.
Thing is (after a little research) apparently it can stay in the dirt for years and a dog can carry the virus for a few weeks even after "cured".
we have used bleach, ammonia and all that. Burned the blankets sick puppys were on and took the pups an Burryed on the back of our properties which is far off from the kennels. Weird thing is. A walker gyp had 4 male puppys thats all she had im hunting her for bobby barber of deridder,la. He didnt want the 4 pups which was really good bred he gave them to me and told me to sale them and keep the money. 2 puppys lived out of tht litter due to her jumping in her box on to them. They were born on the ground and not till the pup i was going to keep because my dad liked it died at 8 weeks after it had a shot. The two that lived sold them and there big healthy puppys.
