Castrate this late in the game?

Probably slaughter him in what....2 1/2 - 3 months.

yes it will make a difference. 3 months is plenty of time to feed out after you cut him

Not arguing just trying to learn/understand. What will it do barring the hog for just a short time? I know over a long period they put on weight because they are running around chasing sows....just eating.

This Boar is all by his lonesomes now, in a 16X16 pen. He doesn't RUN anywhere, lol.

Testosterone? Maybe make the meat taste better?
