I have a book on training bloodtrail dogs. this guy lives up north and trains them he works for the parks and wildlife finding deer shot eleagal and he works all season finding lost deer. he says in his book he has tried all breeds of dogs and found the best for him and what he trains and sells is the wire haired dashound. He said these dogs can take the rough terrain with briars an are deadly accurate trackers on old trails. he gets a big price on a finished dog.
