Roped a yearling racing colt once on foot, bugger just wouldn't let you get your hands on him... the rope slid down to the base of his neck as he bolted... not wanting to let the rope go and have the colt run through the fence in front of the owners... I dug my heels in and held on for dear life.... if you've never drug on yer arse behind a runaway train before, you might not know what I'm talking about. I guarantee I reached speeds of 40mph+.... had no backside to my britches left by the time he fell out.... I sat down real gentle like for a few days too

But I got that little turd, that's the important part!
That reminds me of the first roping steers we bought... We were just getting into roping and me and a buddy went in on halves and bought 3 steers... LOL!. WEll we get em home, but dont have a run back lane from the milk barn to the arena... and no horses around at this farm... So.. we get the bright idea that we are stud enough to just hold on to em and " Lead" em to the arena.. Well yeah... BS... So we put a rope aound the horns, and each one of us got a hold and opened the trailer door... yall can guess what happend after about the first 20 yards of "leading" the steers, We got our skinny butts drug all around that pasture! but by durnit i didnt let go! Me and my steer ended up upside down in the pond and my buddy found out that sliding down an old crooked 4 strand fence aint fun.... So an hour after we opened the gate... off we go to get horses and ended up taking us the rest of the night to catch em... The funny part was when we finally roped em to go back home two of em had made it to a subdivision and were eatin grass around someones pool.... Needless to say they werent happy with us...
