Here are my personal 1% things (those little things that make a good dog into a great dog) - maybe they are BIG things?

1.  Picking out boars from a mob
2.  "Running on" - you guys call it relay finding
3.  Laid back when stitching or "doctoring"
4.  taking to jumping early (I see this as a great confidence indicator)
