One trait that isn't looked at hard since the fox hound era...is mouth on the dog.  Ever had a really nice lil dog that you couldn't hear on the other side of a log bayed solid? 

Now picture breeding that dog to another quite lipped pooch. 

Gets frustrating quick.

Yes, frustrating indeed. My best one is like that, she barely makes a peep, just does a lot of staring, growling and soft woofing. It's hard to send pups to her, becuase they can't read the garmin... Lol
