What about an old cj2 willis jeep? Busting knuckles n trial n error is how learned growing up. Terry if i was closer to ya, id crank up the torch n welder n help ya out, but its a 2.5hr drive n couldnt get much done in 1 day except laying the idead out on paper. The tracker/samurai would b a good frame to start off of, but if u can read blue prints n a tape messure n machinist rule, u could build it from scratch using square, round or c-channel for the frame, then u could put the pwr train in any location u want.
