I'm in same boat I just can't figure it out now if I got one that's got a good edge on it to begin with and old man give me this ceramic rod deal that came out of a transformer and I can make couple swipes on it like chefs do with their still rods and it gets razor sharp but like I said that's if it has a good edge to begin with witch I can't seem to do myself good luck
