To each their own, but the safest fastest most effective way to break a bulldog off anything is with a break stick.
I use to have a bulldog named Mac it was no fast effective way to break him off. I should of named him jaws but I didn't know he was gonna be like that when i named him as a pup. It was all one man could do to break him off with a break stick or without it didn't matter 90% of the time we would have to wait til he almost passed out before he would let go I've been around my share of bulldogs and haven't seen one yet that had the bite he had. It's hard to choke them off with a 4 in cut collar but with just one of them regular dayglow collars it's just as effective to choke them off.
