I had a tritronics classic 70 and liked it a lot I think it would work up to a mile and it will put out plenty of juice to correct dogs with. I use to put mine on a hard headed bulldog and i sent him to a bay that broke one day and it was gone when he come back I didn't have it fastened correctly i actually think he was smiling when he come back lol
