Make a police report, so you have that on your side, i'd go with the advice of letting the law decide, but he EARNED whatever he gets from a judge, and here in Alabama, that would fall under a class C felony,, so here, if convicted, he'd lose his gun rights and he'd never be a threat to shoot a dog with a gun again, unless he were real stupid and wanted to risk jail time. But thats what he needs to be sure he dont ever put no one else through what he's put you through. Just a question, have you ever heard of other dogs being shot in the same vicinity? I doubt it was the first time he's shot dogs, i guess i feel like family or no, if someone shoots my dogs, it's MY responsability to put a stop to it so it dont happen again.
