Infection can be as bad of a smell as u ever smelled. It is what was oozing I'm sure. Nasty stuff turn ur stomach quick.

x2...My wife has a small terrier and he has tangled with one of my curs on several occasions and each time he has gotten some deep cuts...keeping clean is not enough because infection sets in each time...start the oral antibiotics and a topical like cut heal...but if it is an indoor dog cut heal will not work because it is smelly...I started using quick heal and that has worked out pretty good for my wife's indoor dog...
