It's to much of a culture in texas to get banned I would think
Every dog running state in the country will be under attack. Peta will go after the dog hunters first but we all know their goal is to stop all hunting.
Fla. was one of the biggest dog running states in the country. They ran deer, rabbits, coon, bear, fox, hogs, You name it with dogs yet Gov. Lawton Chiles caved in to the antis when they complained that the black bear was endangered & stopped bear hunting in Fla. This was about 15 years or so ago.
In the 1960's Mn. decided to stop bear hunting with hounds for a couple of years for a trial period. Guess what, they never got their dog season back. Once you lose something, that's it when it comes to dog hunting, it's gone.
The best thing you can do, join your state dog ass. NRA & any other groups that are going to support your rights as a hunter & a gun owner. This is going to be a long fight & Peta is taking it state by state. Even if it is not your state, you can show your support, because believe me, sooner or later, it will come to your state.
Like said above, this will be dicided in cities where the majority rule.
