Well, I know what works around my house.. NOT A DARN THING  Cheesy

The young dogs still try to move up in the pecking order and the old dogs still put them in their place.  Every dog on my yard knows im the boss.  However there is still a pecking order.  Just like in wild animals, the boss is the boss then there is the second third etc.... Id almost bet every one here has a dominant dog on their yard.  Whether or not others challenge the dominance is another story.

Like I said earlier though, dominance and fights are two totally different things.

Well all my culls are starting too get along now.. Couple whoopins later and just time too adjust and meet each other and it's good. My old dog still dominant male. I'm still leader. Helps dogs know there order. Thanks for all the input & advice
