I like others would use a good pit that has leg and wind. I run a ridgeback pit cross. He is a great dog. Ridgebacks are not the grittiest dogs around. Fact is show breeding has taken a lot of that out. Now if u could get ur hands on one u knew for a fact came out of working parents that still had the grit it may work. Walker dogs have all the bottom and nose most would want. Couple that with a good leggy pit that has wind u don't lose much. The key to this cross to me is the pit. Pick the wrong one u lose to much speed and wind.
