In all the years I have hunted I never have carried a gun or allowed anyone else to carry one. I have had a buddy get his best dog shot thru the back hip from a hunter carrying a gun for protection only and I was on a hunt where I guy got excited and stabbed a friend thru the hand. I just let them now there will b no guns and not to stab one until I tell them.
