was having trouble with runners. started running a couple good strike dogs with two RCD that hang pretty close until they hear a bark. havent had one run off on those two yet. wouldnt work out too well if the terrain was such that you would be a while getting to them but its worked well for us. One of the RCDs is ridgeback x cat (my favorite) and the other is pit x cat. I also wouldnt have only one rcd.
