Range is always a interesting topic. Some dogs have it some don't, some people wast it some don't. I prefer to free cast, let the dogs do their job, and I'll go to them. Their still another range of dog. The dog that just knows where the hogs are. Sometimes they run a hot track, sometimes it's an old track , and sometimes they can wind. Range really doesn't describe this type of dogs hunting. This dog doesn't have to hunt circles or long, they just go pretty much strait to the hogs, kind of a sixth sense. It's hard to explain, just have to sit back and watch.
