What's a catch dog worth ?

I've seen a few great bulldogs over the years and a lot of half a$$ ones. You won't know you had a great one until it's gone and your trying to replace him and it's hard nowadays to find good bulldogs. I know I've been hunting several times with some sorry bulldogs because that would be the replacements and I remember just hoping they would hold on long enough for me to get in there and get my hands on the hog or atleast hope they went in there haha and got enough dogs in there that something would catch . I sure don't miss them days of hunting. It's when you get in these situations is when you ask your self how much is bulldog worth. I wouldn't take 2000$ for the one I use right now he's not worth that much but he's a pretty decent catch dog and i wouldn't know where to get another and I sure don't want to go back to the " hoping they catch dogs" now a good trusty catch dog is so hard to find I bought a vest for him because like to lost him a few times and I got to thinking i probably couldn't replace him and I have never been a vest person so we will see
