.22 with rat shot works like a charm!! And if the barking doesn't stop then, put a hollow point in there and be done with it.

I can't help it Charles. If we are going to take care of our dogs and give them great places to live their lives out atleast they can be mans best friend. 80% learn extremely quick (breaking them from anything) with rat shot and the other 20% deserve the hollow point. No need to pawn them off on another person that "thinks" they can do better. The worms need to eat too!
