Thanks everybody for the nice replies. Yep richard the program just took a 16 month advance lol. Joey, Cole is a super nice guy and like I said I was extremely lucky to get the dogs. Full Parkers coming from larry's yard are hard to find, simple economics demand is greater than the supply. Larry sure has bred some good ones though. Marvin , My two main hunting partners I hunt with here in Louisiana both have full Parker curs. Plus Des( my Texas partner) has got them and some parker crosses. All the ones I have had the pleasure of hunting with have all been sure enough hog dogs. They are independent, rangy, fast , have got great noses and have a ton of hunt and bottom. I got a 6 month old parker pup now that is already trailing and baying hogs on mock set up hunts. I also got a 1 1/2 years old half parker half mellman cross that came out of a Full parker and full mellman bred dog that des owns and bred. He is striking hogs and rolling over like a pro. The two we just got ( one being mine and the other one Des's ) are go getters. I took them Sunday and they found and bayed a hog. after that I picked one of them up a mile and a half from there trailing. They are gonna be some good dogs we are just gonna smuther them in hogs and let the genetics do the rest. We also decided which dogs we are going to breed to them to. They should really be jam up. Also the dog Missy that Richard (elliscounty) has came from Des out of a Parker/Moody cross she is also jam up. NOw the DOGO is a hog catchin machine. He was bred in mississippi by a guy named chuck bullock. this guy bred them for personal protection dogs. The sire was Arnold's Boss and the dam is Lions Gate Pearl. Cole bought two littermate male pups and used them for catchdogs. I got the smaller of the two the other one was 20 lbs heavier. All he got is the puppy papers he never registered them in his name but I got both parents registration numbers and his puppy number. I am not that concerned with his papers as long as he catches. I am going to see how much and hard it would be to get his papers though. but i must say he is a good made dog that is very fast and athletic. I sure am glad I got hooked up in DEs's program he sure has got it figured out. I got rid of some jam up hog dogs to make room to get young dogs from Des and to be in his program and able to contribute to it.. NOw that we got these gyps along with the other dogs already in the program I should never have to buy another dog nor should our hunting partners.
