What kind of protection training. If you want a dog to protect you get a puppy. You feed that dog and water that dog and nobody else. Hold the puppy like a baby a few times. A good protection dog will not like it. So only do it for a few seconds and place the puppy back on it's feet. The dog learns that you will not hurt the dog even if it is not comfortable. Touch the puppy while it eats but never take the food. You make sure that dog does not get hurt at all for the first year. After that you will have a dog that will die for you. But be careful because some dogs may be too protective. Add some basic obedience training. That is the short version.
