There is not a perfect breed and I happen to Love Plotts and would really like to be able to get on this fourm every night and not have Negative Shots at my breed of choice crammed down my throat!
Here's the thing...I'd venture to say in every breed there have been/is/and will be paper hangers. It doesn't reflect poorly on the breed itself...just the men/women that actually hung them. My preferred breed of catchdog was "created" by hanging papers back in the early 70's...and the fact is, there are still those unscrupulous breeders out there doing it today. Would it/does it bother me when it is brought up on a message board...no. Hell, it's the truth. A pedigree is only as good as the man or woman that hands it to you and you can't control what deceit has been done by others throughout the years. Why get bent out of shape about it?
