no fancy set up required...the shoulder mount is the deer mt on the wall...the back side is ply board...I use a white paper towel rolled up an tacked on the back side on the ply board...put about a teaspoon of deer scent on the towel and I make sure they can smell the scent before lighting each pup up...I always start with the alpha pup...I want that one to cower down first and the others follow suit...

I wait until they are 6 months old and they have already bayed hogs in a pen or on staged hunts...I think it is important that the pups are confident on the desired game before breaking them...and I do it in their kennel or at home and not in the woods...a cattle prod works pretty good as well...

white paper towel to simulate the white tail of a running deer...

I am sure a fresh deer hide will work as well...when the hide touches the dog or pup hit the juice button and make him think it is the deer causing the pain...
