Very true Yall! Consistency and steady, fast hunting speed will find hogs fast!   I walk hunt so I like the dogs to be short to med range and property's i hunt are better fit for shorter to medium range dogs.  How i judge range is when i cast my dogs I take a note on how far he is really averaging on what he does after the first cast In No sign.
