He has pneumonia they said...and they didnt tell you to nebulize him?
Nebulization treatments were always a standard part of treatment when we had pneumonia patients.
His chest likely feels horrid which could be the root of him being lethargic. If you cant get a hold of a bad of lactated ringers and an iv line to give him subqutaneous fluids....do as others suggested already and syringe feed him water, pedialyte or gatoraide.
Hydration is the utmost important. As for food....small quantities. You can try something like chicken bouillon cubes in chicken broth. You can also squirt some honey in his mouth as well.  Can you get any Famotadine? Its otc sold at stores and pharmacies. That will settle his stomach nausea. If hes taking antibiotics on an empty stomach that will definately cause GI upset.
Hydrate hydrate hydrate. They will crash from dehydration before they will from food deprivation.
