I am also thinking about getting the sub zero. I found some at a real good deal online. I am a review junkie and read all i could on them. Alot of folks said they were a jam up alternative to night vision. Some folks did say that they would still spook game. They also said that the wider (less bright) field of illumination seemed to help that problem and they could still clearly see the target in the scope. After all the reviews i read and watched ( which was a ton of them ) i think i will still save a few greenbacks and order it. Hope this helps.
