yep i keep those smiths in my truck and camp mess

x3...if you don't know how to sharpen by hand I recommend you getting that lansky set...get the diamond set which costs a little more and be sure to read the directions...the directions will actually teach you which angle to use for different style blades for different uses...that in itself will teach you why it is important to use different angles for different uses...and knowing that will be a big help to you...

I strongly recommend you learning how to sharpen by hand...I seldom can get a razors edge but get close enough to make any job easy...in a pinch you can use two knife blades to sharpen them...steel sharpens steel...

when you have the time use a cheap knife and a decent sharpening stone and practice...
