You've lived a sheltered life if you haven't saw a stockdog that would go hunting and or take a track.
In my younger days I hunted with a few more folks than with I do now...but the ratio was a little lopsided imo...and my theory to my observations has yo do with how a lot of cowboys use their dogs...more often than not there is no hunting involved...just round them up and drive them to the corral...
My advice to the papered bmc question is to do your homework and buy a pup from someone who hunts bmc...
one of the best hogdogs I hunted behind was a red bmc that was a cull because he busted bays...but the new owner caught many hogs behind this dog...
