I asked this question a few weeks ago. My bulldog had a canine tooth busted out while holding a big boar hog 250 plus pounds. The next hog i put him on was another good one. There was no bay because we had the dog with us and spotted the hog in a pasture . I got him to spot it and cut him loose. Long story short he chased it around for a while. Then i heard the squealing of a "cought hog". By the time i got there he had lost it. It only took me about 30 seconds to get there. I dont really know what happend he always holds good.. the were cought in a big Colbert pipe that runs under the road so all i can figure is he got banged around and raked loose on the side of the pipe. I have cought pigs with him since then though with no problem. He is missing a k-9 on the top.
