Benchmade has some good fixed blade knives, but if ur at a $100 budget, i wouldnt look at them. They too are american made, made just up the road from where i work. Even after my 30% discount, my auto opener was still $175, but its got a lifetime warrenty and free sharpening for life. Well not free, gotta pay shipping cost but benchmade will put a factory edge on it. Iv had mine for 3-4 months and use it for my everyday knofe and with the factory edge, its still sharp. But not shaving sharp anymore, gotta put it on a stone this wkend
