only advice I can give you is what an old man told me , '' when a pen will hold water it's ready to put the hogs in it '' lol but really a good strong wire like the no climb horse wire is a good one to use five foot high will keep most hogs in and as far as rooting out I've never had much trouble with it do to most times they root at the fence and push dirt up to it and bury it at the bottom . and remember a happy hog doesn't want to leave to begin with plenty of shade , feed and clean water and if they should happen to get out they'll all ways come back .
