I used T-post & 47" Red Top field fence for mine & never had a problem. I ran barbless wire about 6" above that just to give me more height. There are places if a hog wanted out they could probably go under the fence but they are so used to walking along it, I have not had one go under it. My post are 12' apart. If the woods are real thick you might not need a hot wire on the bottom. I always put my hogs in a smaller pen & got them fence broke before I put them in the big pen.
