I have been wanting to cross a game bred bulldog to either a Patterdale or Jagd to use for varmint hunting, barn busting, coon killing etc.  Don't really intend to try to use for hunting dogs on hogs, just something to play around with in barns, etc.  I have owned dozens of Patts and hundreds of bulldogs, so I am familiar with these.  I have never owned a Jagd, but I know they generally have more hunt to them than Patterdales.  I have access to a number of pit females in the low 30lb range.  Trying to get a puppy that will mature in the low 30 lb range.  I am fully aware that a good Patt can do this job without crossing it with anything.  Just something I wanted to do.  Any opinions from anybody who has crossed these before?

check out californiacatchers.com theres a section on Renterriers, they are pit x pats a guy has been breeding for a while. theres a video of one going after a hog, I bet they would be excellent varmint dogs, but so would straight patterdales
