My forge is homemade out of steel and lined with kaowool and painted with a ceramic mix. Bottom is firebrick. I use my shop vac on blower for the forced air.  Have a homemade gate valve to control the air. Way bigger than I need but when I built it I was building pry bars. I can have 1500 degrees in 10 minutes.
