looking for old fart ford mechanics lol

lol me too . as far as the fuel system I have all ways ran two inline filters on the old girl one in front of fuel pump and filtered again ahead of the carb . but as she set right now she is a totally virgin fuel system with all new everything from tank and soon to be carb . I checked my fuel pressures coming from the pump yesterday while I was going thru the wiring for shorts and what not from the new ignition switch . the pressures and wiring are all good . but I have quit for now waiting on the carb to get here tomorrow . then we shall see if I need to break open some inspection ports for the push rods and lifters . . but like I said when she cranks and runs for that little bit she will purr like a kitten lol then fall all to pieces . timing is good I reset and rechecked all that yesterday as well by pulling up the timing mark and checking the piston for tdc and made sure it was still in line with the #1 position on the distributor . it has been an adventure for sure , but I've never had a bad day working on the old girl she has been very good to me all these years . and I'm sure many more years to come . 3 more years and she get's a full off frame restore project going . that's what I'm giving her for her 50th birthday lol
