We hunt our dogs till they can't go no more but on the older ones we choose where and when we hunt them. We only have one gyp now that is 7 and she has slowed up a bunch and usually use her with the pups or help with tracks. We usually don't ruin her with the younger and faster dogs cuz she can't keep up. But if she is worth breeding she can definitely help get her pups started if she had slowed down.
