Do you guys hunt them primarily as your strike dogs? Those are some tough little suckers.
They are the only strike dogs I have. I dont know of many that use them as their only strike dogs but several people have one or two to run with their dogs. The type of country I hunt....they work great. But they are at a disadvantage in large amounts of water.
Ideally you dont want them catching as often as they do....but they are extremely driven and rough. I think they know there limits. The boar we caught had them backed off and they were baying.....as opposed to the sows they had stretched out by the time we sent the catch dog.
