The gyp that I described as a high power hound has a problem of over running tracks, I got pups off of her bred to a male who was extremely good at lining tracks out and never made to many bobbles or loses in his career, my luck their going to be super stars and now the sire has been killed so that cross can never be made again. If they meet my expectations I'm going to breed a son off the gyp back to her to try and maintain her side with the added tracking ability that the sire has been throwing in his pups when bred to other gyps. These crosses are a few years out but it definitely has the wheels in my head turning. Line breeding and genetics are one of my favorite dog hunting topics.
