I did the pin on one of my dogs. His femur was broke laterally. Took a long time to heal but he still has the leg and other than being outa shape is no worse for ware. I have noticed he does favor the leg a lil but not sure what if any lasting effect may be. My dog lived nearly 5months in a 4x4 pup pen in my kitchen. Like above the severity changed my actions. I think I chose the best option we will see.
