wat ive always done was take a small pig and let the pups start baying it and get someone to hold them and drag the hog off where they can see me hide it and let them go and find an bay for a few min but not to long as they may lose interest...just make the distances farther and the time bfore releasing the pups a lil bit longer each time....got this technique from the K-9 unit at the prison dwn the road from my house thats how they train their bloodhounds and they have won the state trials about 3 yrs running now
that is how i have seen it done works well as far as i can tell
