A double edged sword...

Yesterday I was driving out to the bay pen and as I was driving I saw all the growth we have been having in the last 5 or so years...lots of beautiful trees getting bulldozed down and permanent buildings/roads going up and new pipelines going in everywhere where it once was good wild animal habitat...I am guilty of the same when I bought 10 acres and cleared them to raise the value of the land as well as it was a good location for value increase...

we as a population want to succeed but we somehow need to regulate ourselves as a whole...and it probably will not happen until we all are thinking in the same way and hopefully we will do so before we destroy our environment...

the big question is...how can we downsize without jacking up our economy?

like I said before...I don't care for tree huggers or anti hunters...they are focused on the minor symptoms and they need to focus on the population issues...fix that and the other problems will go away or be alleviated...

the anti gunners...they too are looking at a symptom...it is not the gun but the person behind the gun...part of the education system should include better parenting skills so the major issues than can contribute to people growing up and killing with any kind of weapon can be minimized...sometimes living conditions contribute to this type of behavior...

I am not a tree hugger but I do appreciate an old live oak tree...or a big ole mesquite sitting in the middle of nowhere...and those cyprus trees...they are awesome...

a friend of mine had access to a big bull dozer and he said the first tree he was going to bulldoze was a big mesquite tree sitting out in the open...it bothered me but he can do whatever he wants if that is what the owner wants...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
