Numbers never meant much to me and I'll give a couple of examples. One hunt that stands out in my mind is one where I caught 12 hogs one morning and thought the dogs looked like hammered poop. I think I could of caught hogs with my wife's housedog and if you were not there, most people would think that was one outstanding set of dogs. Other times, I've caught one hog and thought the dog or dogs performed flawlessly. I let my eyes and ears tell me how good the dogs perform and not numbers.

This is my opinion 100% and is what most people don't understand.   Amount of hogs or just the fact that you catch hogs has NOTHING to do with the quality of dogs being turned loose.    Every dog has his day but that day doesn't make him a hog dog.
