I think it's obvious at this point that 44Mag is what we would call a "low information" bulldogger. He probably means well, trying to be the "protector" of new guys from lowly "breeders" like myself. In 44Mag's world, a bulldog is a dime a dozen and anyone who would pay anything for one is an obvious moron. In 44Mag's world . . . you get on Craigslist . . . get a free dog . . . it catches awesome every time . . . end of story. That's how you do it. Anyone who doesn't follow this time-tested strategy is just a SUCKER who likes getting screwed by breeders who make up stories about how proven their lines are

Nobody on this board takes exception to you going to the pound to get your catch dogs. We just can't figure out why you feel you need to SMEAR other people and go to such great lengths to prove your point. Does that make him an idiot, not hardly. It his $$$ and if that's what he wants to do, it doesn't make him a sucker, moron, idiot or anything else. It just means that he recognized value to himself in something that other people don't. Some people pay $100,000 for a baseball card. Now I wouldn't do that, but that doesn't make the guy who bought it a sucker just because I wouldn't buy it??? You're argument is based on the premise that anyone who wouldn't do exactly what you do is wrong. However, you're arguments lack LOGIC. Some people are willing to pay big money for things that other people wouldn't. That's why we live in the USA. Because we all don't have to follow the same ideas, same script, same group think lifestyle. IT'S CALLED FREEDOM.
44Mag says . . . "proven lines, proven to who"? There is an old saying, "better to be thought a fool, than to speak and prove it". (In your case, type and prove it). In the meantime, I'll keep studding my dog out for $1,000 to "breeders" who keep coming back for more. You can keep getting free dogs off Craigslist. As long as both of us are happy, who cares. It doesn't affect you in any way.
