usually its adenovirus or parainflueza, but best to keep them separate in case its bordatella or distemper, it can last for weeks and spread to all your dogs with varying severity quickly. When I lived in town and had strays visiting my yard I had most my dogs coughing a couple years ago, it took two months to run its course, now I separate them, and got the heck outa town. vitamin C helps, keep em warm and dry, give em a mineral supplement
