My buddy has a bmc from the pound he's hell of a strike dog. I call him no nuts wish he had some sure his pups would have been good to.
we raise hogs and me and my little cousin (13) castrated one and every since then we've called him "no nuts" lol...but to the O.P. I wouldn't be afraid to try a pound dog. It would be easy to get one to catch from the pound im sure. I'd spend some time with the bulldogs at the pound and see which one had a good handle and go from there. I'd also have the olé double deuce and a shovel ready though. I would imagine its a pretty big gamble trying a pound dog. Pretty good chance there there for a reason. And I wont have a dog fighting idiot at my house. If they'll let you, tell them to let you see him with another dog. See how he act's. My buddy got a real nice male from the pound one time and brought him over here smiling like a jack ass eatin briars. He was a fine looking well built bullldog. My hyper yard dog ran by and that bullldog grabbed his ass and went to town on him. He literally pulled him toward himself then re gripped and went to shaking on him before we could react. He's in doggy heaven now. I aint saying all of em are like that by no means. Its like buying fireworks...lol. you see the pretty packaging and think about what its supposed to do. You get it home, wait for the right time,......light the fuse,..... stand back with high hopes and it turns out to be a DUD... I think alot of dogs end up in the pound because they have a major flaw and someone doesn't want to properly deal with the animal, so they dump it on a dirt road somewhere hoping someone else will pick it up and fix there mistakes.
