Day night don't matter to me but I work a lot trying to feed all these kids so my free time is usually at night after the house has settled down.I have heard of dogs that aren't accustom to huntin at night and have troubles though.
I'm not 100% sure that dark vs light would matter much for the dogs, but it is so thick and the visibility is so limited anyway that it being dark couldn't really help things. These pigs are pretty smart and circle over and over again through the creek bottoms and then back into thick cedar just long enough to have the dogs confused. They don't seem to have any desire to stop and fight even with the rougher curs biting at them. Also they always come up on groups and while they try and figure out which one to focus on the bay almost always breaks. But I was just curious if people find it easier to hunt during the day and if they have noticed anything about the success rates of different times of day/night.
