I'm just back into it but when I had my pack about 5 years ago I really liked my bird/bull crosses even tho they were pretty gritty not much on the bay side at all mainly straight catch but they had  really good nose and could strike and find there own hog . If you have a good game bred pit find you a decent gsp and make the cross rasie the litter and keep the best ones.  I'd think you like the cross
