I cast hunt so my dogs will basically go until they hit hog sign or come out on another road and I catch them.

I've had them go out 3 to 3 1/2 miles in big timber. Most of the places we hunt there is a road about every 1 1/2 to 2 miles and they will hunt that area and I'll pick em up and go to another area. I do have a hound and a catahoula that I can cast and leave and check back on them every now and again.

Then I have some dogs that I can cast, but they will only go out to 4-500 yards and make a few circles and come back to the truck.
